More Solid

Yep. I would hang my head in shame too with a sign like that.

Feels like someone underscored the mistake with a blue pen so she could make another sign before the protest.

The least educated among us are paying with their lives, their homes and the future of their children for the folly of the billionaires who told George W. Bush what to do, and yet they're out there supporting the republican party for all they're worth. There would be poetic justice in what lies ahead for them, except that all mankind will suffer because of the disproportionate media coverage devoted to our morons with signs.

It's interesting how the people who stand to get fucked the most by GOP policies are often the ones who chug the Kool Aid with the most fervor. While the middle and working classes continue to contract-working longer hours for ever dwindling pay and benefits, losing their homes, having entitlements they need to avoid utter ruin treated as little more than a bargaining chip in the battle over permanent extension of corporate welfare in Washington, getting bent over by the banks while they squander millions of taxpayer dollars on vacations and bonuses-they still show up at every mid-term and Presidential election, eager to cast another vote for a big fat GOP cumshot to their corn-fed faces, all in the hope that, if we're really good and we work really hard, our vulgar, fatass overlords might toss us a bone in the form of a woefully inadequate benefits package or maybe even another year of employment.

The only thing trickling down to you is the piss of big business, ladies. Your son is a business expense to corporate America. It's all good though-they get to keep their ridiculously ill-conceived tax cuts and they'll be reinvesting it in the form of steady, good-paying jobs with great benefits and retirement options.

Seriously, any day now.

Anonymous just above: Why lace your incisive and completely on-target comments with junior high-school expletives? Are you aware that the issues you deal with above are also being considered by grownups more likely to be taken seriously?

@the prissy Anonymous with the ramrod up their backside regarding "obscenity" who has had to whine about it on more than one comment page: I admit that some usage of vulgarity can be over the top, especially if that's all one has to offer with nothing of substance behind it. However, vulgarity used by an intelligent commenter can serve to forcefully and vividly underscore a point. If you don't like it, perhaps you should stop reading the comments. Either that, or act like an adult yourself and accept that sometimes other people are going to use "naughty words" that you don't like, and that is their right.
